Machine Application Tip:  (Aug 2005) If you want to apply Super Resin Polish using an orbital or dual-action, machine polisher, we recommend using our CCS Technology, German Polishing Pads. These pads have more polishing power than our white pads with the finishing gloss and smoothness of our red finishing pads. The 99% open cell structure of these pads are ideal for solvent-based, one step products like Super Resin Polish. These pads stay wetter, longer, allowing you to cover larger areas with less product. DO NOT use these pads with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. We prefer to apply Extra Gloss Protection by hand but if you wish to use a dual-action, machine, apply Gloss Protection using the Black Glazing/Finessing Pad or Red, Finishing Pad.

Handy Tips:

Apply polish to entire bodywork and complete all other valeting tasks, ie, cleaning glass and dressing plastic trim, before finally removing polish to reveal shine. This technique will avoid marking polished paintwork if other tasks are carried out first.

• Use a Power Scrubber Microfiber Applicator to apply polish.
• Apply polish to the pad, not directly to your car. Spread in large, circular overlapping motions. Before it dries, even out into long straight lines, along the axis of the vehicle.
• Take care not to apply polish to absorbent surfaces ie, unpainted plastics and rubber trim.
• Use Autoglym Super Resin Polish on good condition brightwork and other metallic surfaces, ie, wheels, instead of using a metal polish which may be unnecessarily abrasive.
• Remember, the topmost layer of your paintwork is the strongest and should be preserved as far as possible. It is better to polish 2-3 times using Autoglym Super Resin Polish to restore the finish than to use an unnecessarily abrasive paint restorer.

    I conducted a mini test four weeks ago and applied Super Resin Polish to 1/2 of my car's hood and Klasse All-In-One on the other half. I'll give All-In-One a slight edge in ease of application but both products are a joy to work with. Upon the initial application, I'm not sure I could determine a difference between the two sides. I think the Klasse side was a bit brighter and the Autoglym side was a bit darker and deeper but the two were so close that it could have been the way the sun was hitting the surface. Four weeks and four washes later I could definitely see a difference in the two sides. I preferred the brightness of the Klasse side but I could see every flaw and swirl in direct sunlight. The Autoglym side was not as bright but the swirls were much less noticeable. They were there but I had to look for them.

    Bottom line, you can't go wrong with either of these products. Klasse does have a stronger cleaner which might benefit cars with a duller finish. On the other hand, older cars with minor swirls will probably look better with the Super Resin Polish. As for me, I'm going to stick with Klasse as my choice but my wife has more than once called me a stubborn German that refuses to change!
