Four Star Heavy Cut compound
quickly removes 1000 grit and finer sanding marks, scratches, heavy oxidation
and water spots with less compounding haze than other compounds. The heavy-cut
formula produces less pad build-up (caking) than competitive compounds allowing
most jobs to be completed without changing or spurring pads. Remaining
films wipe off easily without excessive buffing.
Four Star Heavy Cut Compound works on
single stage paints, base coat-clear coat finishes, metallic finishes, domestic
high solid clears and the new European, nano, ceramic, scratch resistant clear
coats.
Avoid plastic and vinyl trim moldings.
After compounding, follow with Four
Star Foam Pad Glaze, Swirl Mark Remover or Machine Glaze & Polish to restore
surface gloss.

Note to professional detailers
and body shops: Four Star Heavy Cut compound is specifically
designed to be applied using a circular polisher with a wool compounding
pad. (Our 41-125
Heavy Cut Wool Pad is an excellent match with this compound)
Do not apply using
foam pads and do not apply with a D-A or orbital polisher (Porter Cable
7424). |

Application by circular polisher:

Apply with a wool compounding pad.

Apply small amount of polish to pad or
surface.

Spread product before turning machine
on.

Set speed between 1200 -1700 rpm
depending on surface condition.

Using a medium pressure, move machine
slowly back and forth over a two foot by two foot area keeping pad flat on
the surface at all times.

Reduce pressure as product begins to
dry.

Buff remaining film by hand using a
Microfiber cloth.
