Meguiar's Body Solvent is the first of a new generation of cleaners that are VOC compliant and work by soaking on the stain for 30 to 45 seconds. Meguiar's Body Solvent is ready-to-use. You can apply it with a cloth but we find it works better if you spray it directly on the tar or grime you are trying to remove. After spraying, wait 30 to 45 seconds for Meguiar's Body Solvent to penetrate and break down the contaminant. Wipe off with a dry cloth. On really tough tar and tree sap, we recommend you spray, soak and wipe with a cloth dipped in Meguiar's Body Solvent.
Body Solvent is great on petroleum-based stains like tar, gum, tree sap and oily road grime. Meguiar's Body Solvent will also remove cosmoline in the engine compartment and white wax stains in vinyl moldings. (Do not use on clear plastics.)
Remember, spray on, wait 30 to 45 seconds, wipe off.
