This is the finishing polish used
by German automakers.

This polish can be used after compounding or anytime as a preparatory step to waxing. Menzerna Final Polish II removes old wax, minor spider webbing and creates a clean, smooth, highly reflective surface.

Customized for the US market: We asked Menzerna to customize this polish for the enthusiast to better polish factory cured paints. The stock, OEM Final Polish formula from Menzerna (PO 85U) was made for the assembly line for use on fresh paint. It dried to quickly when used to polish cured paints. Menzerna increased the lubricating oils already in the formula to keep the product wetter, longer, allowing extended polishing. This change makes the polish more user friendly and is a huge advantage if you live in a climate of high heat and/or humidity (Florida, Texas, Arizona, etc.). Note: We identified this improvement by adding Roman Numeral II (version 2) to our consumer Final Polish label. We no longer offer the OEM Final Polish (PO-85U) although it is still used by body shops on fresh paint and is offered by other e-retailers to the general public. Menzerna introduced this polish as Micro Polish but we elected to keep the Final Polish II name because we thought it better described the product as a finishing polish.

Final Polish II contains no wax, glaze, fillers or silicones. Minor spider webbing is removed, not just covered-up. Paint gloss is improved by polishing the surface to a micro-smooth, highly reflective finish, not by adding a glaze of silicone oils.

Final Polish II accomplishes this with micro-fine, precision milled, mineral abrasives, not with strong solvent cleaners. Menzerna Final Polish II is a water-based polish, safe for fresh paint or factory cured paint with or without a clear coat. It will not affect the curing process of new paint and will not create swirls. Used after compounding, Final Polish II will completely remove compounding haze (surface dullness) and restore a high gloss, swirl-free finish.

Final Polish II restores gloss to black and red finishes without creating polishing lines. This is a true, professional, finishing polish. Most domestic polishes hide minor swirls with fillers and increase surface gloss with gloss agents. Menzerna Final Polish II removes fine swirls (when applied by machine) and creates gloss the old-fashioned way, by burnishing the surface to a mirror-like finish.

Menzerna designed this polish to be applied with a dual-action (Porter Cable 7424) polisher or a circular polisher but it can be applied by hand. For best results, always work in a shaded area, out of direct sunlight.

By Hand - Mist a Terry or Microfiber applicator pad with water, a pad lubricant or any quick-detail spray (Eagle One Wet Wipe N'Shine) and apply a Quarter size amount of polish. Work on an area of about 2 square feet. Wipe polish over the area until almost dry. Wipe off polishing residues with a damp Terry cloth or Microfiber cloth. Continue polishing in 2 square foot sections until vehicle is done.

Wipe on.

Buff off.

With a dual-action (Porter Cable 7424) polisher

Procedure - Work on areas of about 2 square feet. Apply two, 8 inch lines of polish on the paint. Mist a White Foam Polishing Pad with water or pad lubricant and, with machine off, spread polish over the surface. Set the Porter Cable's speed control between 3-1/2 and 4. Place the pad on the paint and turn the polisher on. Work over the area in a figure-8 pattern until almost dry. Wipe off polishing residues with a damp Terry cloth or Microfiber cloth. Continue polishing in 2 square foot sections until vehicle is done.
	Use a White Foam Polishing Pad

Mist foam pad with water or Pad Lubricant.	Apply polish to surface.

Set the speed dial between 3-1/2 and 4.	Spread polish with machine off.

Apply in a figure-8 pattern.	Wipe residues & inspect surface
With a circular polisher

Procedure - Work on areas of about 2 square feet. Apply two, 8 inch lines of polish on the paint. Mist a White Foam Polishing Pad with water or pad lubricant and, with machine off, spread polish over the surface. Set the polishers speed control to 1,000 rpm. Place the pad on the paint and turn the polisher on. Work over the area in a figure-8 pattern until almost dry. Wipe off polishing residues with a damp Terry cloth or Microfiber cloth. Continue polishing in 2 square foot sections until vehicle is done.

Put on a white polishing pad.


Mist polishing pad with water or pad lubricant.	Apply polish to surface.


Keep speed at 1000 rpm.	Spread polish with machine off.

Apply in a figure-8 pattern.

Wipe residues & inspect surface

Clean-up - After compounding, wash all pads in a bucket of soapy water, rinse and let air dry

Finishing:

After polishing, inspect the entire vehicle for remaining films or residues in body seams and wipe off with a damp cloth. Finish with a coat of your favorite wax or paint sealant.

" A few months back I was trying to get some tree sap off my black 02 Camry and give it a polish to clean up the finish. I had just purchased a Makita polisher and Meguiar's No 9 Swirl Remover. I started with a clay bar and then some mineral spirits to remove the bulk of the sap. I then went over the entire car with Meguiar's No 9. I thought I was doing an OK job, I had the polisher on a low speed and I was taking my time. I didn't notice the disaster I created until I backed the car out into the sun. I had actually put swirl marks into the paint. To add insult to injury, the swirl remover leaves a nice white build-up in every crack and crevice, very noticeable on my black car.

I had lived with my disaster for the past month until I got your latest email newsletter. I was about to take my car to a professional detailer to have my mistakes cleaned up when I thought about giving it another try following your advice. I ordered some Menzerna Final Polish II and an Orange Power Pad. I forget my exact words after just my first attempt but it may have been "This stuff is amazing!" Many enthusiasts will wax their bike but give no thought to polishing. Polishing is the secret to keeping a bike looking showroom new. Polishing, before you wax, removes grime, old wax, fine swirls, spots and pollution not removed by normal washing, and restores surface gloss. The lower fork tubes on this bike are clear coated and given a protective coating of FMJ.

Use Final Polish II to polish chrome parts with no residue left behind. Many metal polishes leave a black residue on the cloth and if the chrome trim is on paintwork, the black residues are transferred to the paint. Final Polish buffs off easily without any black residue.

For best results, use a quality Microfiber cloth like our Multi-task Microfiber Cloth. Use a small amount of polish on the cloth about the size of 2 nickels and polish all your painted, clear coated, and chrome surfaces. This buffs off easily and leaves a mirror-bright, streak-free finish. After polishing, apply your favorite wax or paint sealant.
