No. 21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0
offers Meguiar's latest polymer technology.
Many of you have called or
emailed asking what happened to Meguiar's Medallion Premium Paint Protection. A
favorite with many enthusiasts, Medallion was withdrawn from the marketplace
mid-2005 because it failed to meet the California Air Safety Board's
increasingly strict VOC standards. This product, Meguiar's No. 21 Synthetic
Sealant, arrived in November, 2005, while we were attending the SEMA/APAA/NACE
Show. While not specifically a replacement for Premium Paint Protection, a
Meguiar's spokesperson told us that No. 21 visually
reduced fine swirls and leaves a deep, dark, carnauba-like shine. While Premium
Paint Protection was a blend of polymers and waxes, No. 21 is a pure polymer
sealant - no waxes at all in the formula. This allowed Meguiar's chemists to
meet the current California VOC standards.
Just updated to a 2.0 version,
Meguiars No. 21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0 creates a dazzling high gloss and leaves the
surface incredibly slick. Even dark color paints emerge with a deep, rich
clarity and brilliance. Meguiar’s has added a unique bonding system to
No. 21 that uses positive charged molecules to create a tough, cationic
action which locks onto the negative charge of your car’s finish. Meguiar's
No. 21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0 uses Hydrophobic Polymer Technology for amazing
gloss and water beading. The result
is protection and shine that lasts month after month and wash after wash.
Meguiars No. 21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0 is non-abrasive and safe for all paints with
or without a clear coat finish.
Usage Tips:
- Always use on a cool surface out of direct
sunlight.
- Apply sparingly by hand or orbital
polisher to the entire vehicle using a foam pad.
- Allow a haze to form.
- Wipe off the dry residue with a clean terry
towel or a terry bonnet on an orbital polisher.
One unique feature of No. 21
is that it can be applied by hand, orbital, dual-action and rotary machine
polishers. This is a plus for body shops and new car prep departments that use
rotary machines.
Available in a 16 oz. and 64
oz. size.
