Mothers PowerBall Set

    The larger PowerBall is 6 inches in diameter making it great for polishing the outer edge of rims and for larger wheel openings. 

    This larger PowerBall also works well on flat surfaces like Diamond Plate to create a brilliant shine in a fraction of the time it would take by hand.

   The PowerBall Mini is 3 inches in diameter and comes with a 10 inch extension for getting into hard-to-reach openings. It also ensures that the drill chuck stays clear of your wheels and delicate paintwork. 

    The PowerBall Mini is excellent for pinpoint polishing accuracy such as taillight lenses, engine components and motorcycle chrome.

    PowerBalls are made from a special, open-cell polishing foam designed to be both gentle and extremely durable. They are washable and reusable, over and over.

Hot Rod & Street Rod owners:

Convertible owners:
Restore clarity to cloudy, soft vinyl, convertible windows!

     Use the PowerBall Mini or the larger PowerBall with Mothers PowerPlastic to restore optical clarity to cloudy, vinyl convertible windows. Mask off the window with masking tape to prevent splatter from staining the topping material, polish until clarity is restored then buff off residues with a Microfiber cloth.

Boat owners:
Remove salt residues and polish marine Isinglas and polycarbonate portholes.

    Use the same system listed above to remove salt residues and restore clarity to Isinglass (soft vinyl) widows, Lexan, and polycarbonate portholes.

Motorcycle owners:
Polish uncoated, clear plastic windscreens.

    The larger PowerBall with PowerPlastic will remove spots, stains and minor scratches on uncoated, clear plastic windshields. Warning: Do not use on vinyl coated windscreen such as those used by Harley Davidson. This could remove the vinyl coating. Check with your dealer if you're not sure if your bike's windshield is vinyl coated.

Application Tip for Polishing Billet Wheels:

    I find this works better: Put two 8 inch lines of PowerMetal on the billet wheel. With the power off, spread the polish over the wheel's surface using the PowerBall. This coats both the

PowerBall and the wheel with polish. Now press the PowerBall against the billet wheel and slowly bring the drill up to speed. Polish the wheel to a bright shine then buff off any residues with a dry Microfiber buffing cloth.

Clean-up: You should be able to polish all four wheels before the PowerBall becomes caked with black residues. When you're finished polishing, soak the PowerBall in a bucket of soapy water or better yet use a packet of Snappy Clean Cleaning Powder.  Rinse the PowerBall thoroughly, squeeze out excess water or spin-dry the pad on the drill and allow to air dry. There is no need to take the foam ball off the drive hub. The drive hub assembly is cadmium plated to resist rusting.

    The pitting on my wife's Mini Cooper's wheels is getting severe. This pitting does not come off with any wheel cleaner including my favorite, Wheel Wax. I tried compounding the wheel by hand but the pitting remained.

     I became convinced that the pitting was coming through the clear coat  and the wheels would have to be refinished.

    By the way, I forgot to mention in the description above that the 10 inch extension that comes with the PowerBall Mini features an inner shaft that rotates the PowerBall. The black, outside sheath can be gripped with your hand to keep the PowerBall positioned for proper polishing. This is a very well thought out system.

    I use the larger Mother's PowerBall with Mothers PowerPlastic Polish to polish the clear plastic headlight lens covers on my wife's car and the the Headlight Safety Film on my car.
