Make Your Plastic Fenders Look New Again

You are now free to be as rough on your motorcycle and ATV as you want. Plastic Renew™ is a complete plastic restoring kit designed to bring back dull scratched plastic surfaces on motorcycles and ATVs. Using different grades of sand paper, steel wool, and paper towel (included in the package) you can smooth the plastic surfaces to a like-new finish.

How it works: Following the instructions on the back of the bottle, first soak all the sand paper in water for 15 minutes. The kit includes three grades of sand paper: 220 grit, 320 grit, and 400 grit. Use these in order of most abrasive to least abrasive. Wet the paper and plastic frequently while sanding.
	The kit comes complete with everything you need.

	First sand with 220 grit wet sanding paper.
1. Sand only the areas of the plastic that are scratched with the 220 grit sand paper. This may not remove the deeper scratches, and you may want to leave them as they are. This will not seriously affect the final appearance. If you want the plastic to be perfect, keep sanding until the scratch is completely gone. Rinse with water to remove sanded particles.
2. Continue sanding the entire area with the 320 grit, then the 400 grit while still keeping the surface wet. Thoroughly sand the area with the 400 as this is essential to a good finish. Make sure that all the deeper sanding marks left by the previous sanding has been removed by the 400 grit application. Let the surface dry.
	Then sand with 320 then 400 grit papers.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When applying Plastic Renew you may want to wear latex gloves as prolonged use may cause skin irritation. If you do not wear cloves, thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water after application.

	Evenly apply Plastic Renew.
3. Cut off a quarter piece of the paper towel, fold it in half and squeeze out a couple ounces of Plastic Renew onto the cloth. Evenly apply the Plastic Renew in one direction only. DO NOT RUB BACK AND FORTH. This could cause streaking. Apply 4 coats allowing 3 to 5 minutes of drying time between coats. Colder climates may require longer drying times.

	Apply 3 - 4 coats for best results.
4. After the forth coat has dried, buff the plastic with the steel wool until it feels extremely smooth. Wipe the area clean and apply 2 – 3 more coats of Plastic Renew. The finish will become better each time you buff and re-apply the Plastic Renew, especially on darker colors.

If the plastic gets scratched again, just repeat the process to restore the like-new shine.

The Kit Includes:

8oz Plastic Renew
Wet sanding paper in 220, 320, and 400 grit
Steel wool pad
Paper towel

Normal washing and pressuring washing will not remove the Plastic Renew finish. However, many strong degreasers and chemicals can destroy the Plastic Renew chemical. Even certain dish soaps such as DAWN have strong degreasers that will ruin the finish. If this does happen, repeat the steps above to renew the shine.

Do not use the sand paper on stickers or graphics you want to keep, sand around them as closely as possible. You can apply the Plastic Renew chemical right over the graphics, and in many cases, it will restore dull or faded graphics and number plates.
