Hello and welcome to Ask the
Detail Doctor.
My name is Terry and with my
wife, Jan, founded Classic Motoring Accessories. Both Jan and I have been car
care fanatics for nearly five decades. Back in 1987, we became fed up with our
respective corporate careers, moved from Michigan to Florida and hoped to earn a
living sharing our passion of Proper Auto Care and our knowledge of car care
products.
Today, Jan and I still try to
answer every detailing question personally but we have added to our staff a
professional detailer and several enthusiasts as passionate about car care as we
are. We also have two contract consultants, one in the US and one in Germany,
who keep us abreast of current paint technology at the OEM level. In 2004, we
were the first company to discuss the proper care of German automobiles with
their softer clear coats and in 2005, we were the first company to disclose the
existence and proper care of the new nano, ceramic particle clear coats being
used by Rolls Royce, Maybach and Mercedes Benz.. This inside information has
allowed us to seek out and offer many of the cutting-edge products and
application techniques used by the world's automakers.
As I write this in March of
2006, Jan and I are in the process of listing below, the answers to our most
commonly asked detailing questions. If you've come to this page, you
probably have a detailing question. Check the questions below to see if your
question is listed. If your question is not listed, please click on "E-mail
the Detail Doctor a Question" below and Jan, myself or one of our detailing
professionals will do our best to get back to you within 24 hours.
