Snappy Clean is the best way to
clean polishing pads.

Snappy Clean is a highly concentrated, powerful, citrus pad cleaner in powder form. Each packet is designed to mix with 3 to 4 gallons of water. We recommend you use a 5 gallon pail and fill it about 1/2 full with water but you can just as easily use a standard bucket and fill it almost to the top. Just empty the contents of one packet into the water. As your foam and/or wool pads become caked with residues, just peel them off your polisher and  throw them into the bucket to soak. Put a clean pad on your polisher and continue polishing.

Empty packet into bucket of water.

Allow pad to soak for 5 minutes, fluff
pad using your fingers and rinse.

Snappy  Clean is specially formulated to remove the toughest polish and compound residues without affecting the glue bond between the pad and the hook-and-loop backing.

Let pads soak for 5 - 15 minutes, agitate the knap with my fingers, rinse with a garden hose, give a quick spin-dry by putting it back on the machine and spinning out the water then set it in the sun to dry.

Spin dry at a high speed and allow to
air dry, preferably in the sun.

Detailing Tip:
If you're polishing a large vehicle like a boat or RV, you will typically use at least 3 polishing pads, possibly more. Keep a bucket handy filled with 2-1/2 gallons of water and add a packet of Snappy Clean Pad Cleaner. When your first pad becomes totally caked with residues, you should put a fresh pad on the polisher and throw the dirty pad in the bucket to soak. When the second pad becomes caked with residues, then put  your third clean pad on the machine. Then  take the pad that was soaking, fluff it up with your fingers, rinse it off using a hose, give it a quick spin-dry by putting it back on the machine and spinning out the water and set it in the sun to dry. Then take the dirty pad that was on the machine and throw it in the bucket. In this way, you always have one fresh pad on the machine, one pad soaking in the bucket and the last pad drying in the sun (Here in Florida, pads dry quickly!). Using this system, you can continue polishing the boat or RV and always have a fresh pad.

Note: You can use one packet to 2-1/2 gallons of water which makes a stronger solution. Do this if you typically let the pads soak for only 5 minutes. If you can let the pads soak for 15 minutes, you can use 1/2 packet to 2-1/2 gallons of water which will double the amount of pad cleanings per packet.
