Description:
HD stands for Heavy Duty! This fabric utilizes
the same encapsulation technology as regular WeatherShield material but has a
higher level of UV opacity and a heavier, 300 denier base fabric. Damaging UV
rays are kept from penetrating the cover, preserving the vehicle's surface and
interior from damage. The process used to make this fabric is so extraordinary
it’s protected by world wide patents. The secret is a unique encapsulation
process that places an ultra-thin film around the fabric fibers and
precisely places a durable, breathable barrier within the fabric. Unlike
traditional coatings and laminations that just protect one side of the fabric,
WeatherShield HD uses 40 computerized processes to place protective polymers throughout
the fabric. This process allows air to circulate through the material but
assures moisture, dust and pollutants are kept away from the vehicle’s finish.

WeatherShield HD is our best
cover for climates of intense UV (Florida, Arizona, Texas, Utah, N.M.,
California, Hawaii) where the vehicle must be stored outdoors all year around.
WeatherShield HD comes with a
5-year warranty to the original owner for defects in material and workmanship
and against the fabric becoming unserviceable during normal use.

The patented Nextec
encapsulation process produces a fabric that is highly water resistant,
dust-proof and still breathable. This computerized process wraps
silicone polymers around individual threads and fills the voids between
the weave to form an impenetrable barrier against the elements. |

with a breathable barrier. This assures moisture, dust and pollutants are
kept away from the vehicle's finish. UV inhibitors are added to the
polymers to slow down the degradation caused by long term exposure to the
sun's ultraviolet rays. |
FEATURES:
- SHEDS WATER
Water sheds off the cover as soon as it hits the fabric!
- DUSTPROOF
Patented fiber encapsulation process prevents dust from filtering
through the fabric. It also keeps out tree sap, bird droppings and
pollution.
- SCRATCH-LESS Polymers
provide a silky smooth finish to the fabric and provide superior
paint protection. WeatherShield fabric has been tested at 1,000
cycles on abrasion wheels without scratching (surface must be clean
and waxed).
- BREATHABLE
Allows any heat or condensation under the cover to easily escape.
- UV RESISTANT
WeatherShield HD has our highest UV rating. A combination of high UV
opacity, a heavier base fabric and special additives prevent UV
degradation and protect the vehicle’s finish and interior
for 5 years.
- FADE RESISTANT
This fabric is solution dyed
which means the color goes all the way through the material.
- SUPERIOR DRY TIME
Because the fabric sheds moisture it has an absorption factor of
only 2%, compared with up to 40% for standard woven fabrics. If the
cover has been sitting out in the rain you only need to shake it and
the residue moisture will easily dry, in the trunk or on the car.
- EASY CARE
WeatherShield covers can be washed at home - in a home-size washer and
dryer!
- DURABLE The
tough 300 denier fabric is not affected by heat or cold and the
process won’t degrade over the life of the fabric.
- PLIABLE
WeatherShield covers drape better on the vehicle and are not
affected by extreme heat or cold.

Application:
WeatherShield
HD was originally developed for the RV market where vehicles are large
(requiring a light weight fabric), may have sharp edges (requiring a
tear-resistant fabric) and are stored outdoors for long periods of time
(requiring maximum UV resistance). We like to describe WeatherShield HD as
being almost bulletproof. It's overkill for most car cover applications
but it's perfect for large vehicles, long-term, outdoor storage and
coastal areas in high UV environments. (i.e. Florida, Arizona, Texas,
Hawaii, etc.).
NOTE:
WeatherShield HD will not store as compact as regular WeatherShield and
the heavier, 300 denier, fabric is not as flexible. Unless you need
WeatherShield HD's maximum performance, regular WeatherShield is an
easier-to-live-with, every day cover.
Cover Care:
WeatherShield HD covers
can be washed using a home-sized washer and dryer. Use 1/2 cup of powder
detergent and wash in warm or cold water. DO NOT USE BLEACH and DO NOT
WASH IN HOT WATER. Wash using the "Normal" or "Permanent
Press" setting. HD covers can be dried in most home dryers using the
"Permanent Press" setting or place cover on car and allow to air
dry.

Antenna Openings:
Covers are designed to fit vehicles
with fully retracting antennas. If your car's antenna does not fully retract,
call us at 1-800-628-7596 and we can supply an antenna grommet with your
cover, free of charge.
Mirror Pockets:
Custom fit covers for pre-1965 vehicles
are custom tailored for the car but may not come with mirror pockets. We can
supply pockets at no extra charge but they will not be sewn on the
cover. Please call us at 1-800-628-7596 for details. Custom fit covers for
newer (1965- on) vehicles will have the correct number of mirror pockets
already sewn on the
Shipping Charge:
Covers are shipped by ground UPS within the 48 connected United States and by
Air Parcel Post to Alaska and Hawaii for a flat $10.95. NOTE:
Our automated order form may show a higher shipping amount on your
order form but we will manually change it to $10.95 when we process your

have the cover delivered before December 25th. Custom covers like
WeatherShield, NOAH, and Evolution require at least two weeks to build
and at least one week for delivery.
